ทั้งนี้กว่า 700 องค์กร ได้ประกาศเจตนารมณ์ในการเข้าสู่เป้าหมาย Race to Zero คือลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์จนเป็นศูนย์ ภายในปี 2030 ร่วมมือกันปกป้องผลกระทบจากอุณหภูมิโลกที่สูงขึ้น โดยมีการจัด BCORP Global Climate Summit วันที่ 29 มิถุนายน- 1 กรกฎาคม เป็นการประชุมทางออนไลน์ เพื่อระดมความคิดของภาคธุรกิจจากทุกกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อเตรียมความก้าวหน้าสู่การประชุมภาคีตามกรอบอนุสัญญาสหประชาชาติ ว่าด้วยการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ครั้งที่26 (COP 26) ซึ่งจะจัดที่เมืองกลาสโกว์ สหราชอาณาจักร ในเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2564
สกุลทิพย์ กีรติพันธวงศ์ ผู้อำนวยการบริหาร BCorp Thailand ได้เชิญทุกภาคส่วนในสังคมไทย เข้าสู่ลู่วิ่งของสนามความร่วมมือกัน เพื่อปกป้องความ ยุติธรรมให้แก่สภาพภูมิอากาศ ( Climate Justice ) เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงการซ้ำเติมสิ่งแวดล้อม ที่ส่งผลกระทบอันเลวร้าย จากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพอากาศ
ขอให้เริ่มต้นที่การร่วมเป็น เครือข่ายกับฺ B Corp Climate Collective ซึ่งเป็นการรวมพลังครั้งสำคัญ ของภาครัฐ เอกชน และสังคม ที่จะเร่งต่้านสภาพย่ำแย่ของการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางภูมิอากาศ และปกป้องผลกระทบจากอุณหภูมิโลกที่สูงขึ้น
การร่วมเป็นเครือข่าย จะได้ให้ความช่วยเหลือ ข้อมูล กรณีศึกษา แนว ปฏิบัติ แหล่งทุนสนับสนุน เพื่อการบรรลุเป้าหมาย ก็ต้องเปลี่ยนแปลง นโยบาย เทคโนโลยีการผลิต และพฤติกรรมการบริโภค ที่ส่งผลให้ ลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกจนถึงระดับสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ เพื่อลดโลกร้อน
ทั้งนี้มี 4 ประเด็นสำคัญเพื่อการขับเคลื่อน”องค์กรรักษ์โลก”
1.ร่วมประกาศภาวะเร่งด่วนสภาพอากาศ (Declare Climate Emergency) หน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชน ตระหนักรู้ว่าการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพอากาศและภาวะโลกร้อน มีอยู่จริง และมาตรการที่ใช้อยู่ ยังไม่เพียงพอ
2.ประกาศเจตนารมณ์(Commit to NET ZERO 2030) ให้คำมั่นสัญญา ที่จะมุ่งมั่นจริงจังในการลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์หรือก๊าซเรือนกระจกให้ลดลง 50% จนถึงขั้นสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ ( Net Zero) ภายในปี 2030
3.วัดผลการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอน ( Measure ํYour Carbon Footprint) วัดระดับการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ จากการดำเนินธุรกิจของตนเอง เพื่อการรับรู้และเตรียมหาวิธีการแก้ไขเพื่อลดปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซ
4.ลดการปล่อยคาร์บอน ( Reduce Your Cabon Emission) เมื่อตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ ที่ทำให้เกิดภาวะโลกร้อนแล้ว เราสามารถลดปริมาณคาร์บอนที่ปล่อยออกมาได้อย่างไร
ในงาน BCCC Summit ที่ผ่านมานั้น เชื่อว่าเป็นจุดเริ่มที่ดีที่ “ทุกคน” และภาคธุรกิจซึ่งขับเคลื่อน GDP โลกกว่า 75% ร่วมประกาศภาวะเร่งด่วน (DECLARE) วางแผนลงมือทำ (CLIMATE ACTION PLAN ) ประกาศเจตนารมณ์ (COMMMIT NETZero2030) วัดผลและตั้งเป้าลดระดับ (MEASURE&REDUCE) เราสามารถเป็นส่วนสำคัญของเส้นทางในเร่งมือ ผลักดันให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงทั้งระบบได้ และในฐานะ พลเมืองโลก เราจะฝากอะไรไว้บนโลกใบนี้ ? น่าจะเป็นสิ่งที่ อย่างน้อยที่สุด เราเอง จะไม่เลือกเป็น “ส่วนหนึ่งของปัญหา” แต่เราจะเลือกเป็น “ส่วนหนึ่งของทางออก” ที่จะนำไปสู่การชะลอ ยับยั้ง และร่วมแก้ไข วิกฤติการณ์ที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้น ให้ความเป็นธรรมกับโลกและสภาพภูมิอากาศสู่อนุชนรุ่นหลัง
